In the difference to the Pershing-I used the Pershing II missile completely new rocket motors. These were developed by Hercules and using high-energy fuels and light-weight casings made of Kevlar. This effectively made the Pershing II a completely new missile, and it was designated as MGM-31C. The diameter of the missile is 1.02 m. |
