TEHRAN, 2011, Sept. 06 --  Iran's domestically-built satellite carrier Kavoshgar (K-4 type) is tasked with carrying the bio-capsule into space with a live creature over the next few days, IRIB quoted General Vahidi as saying. Reports indicate that the launch could take place as early as 2011, Sept. 07.

TEHRAN, 2011, Oct. 12 -- Today Iran acknowledged as a
failure its attempt to send a live monkey into space last month. "The Kavoshgar (K-4 type) rocket carrying a capsule with a monkey  was launched during Shahrivar," an Iranian calendar month spanning August 23 to September 22, Deputy Science Minister Mohammad Mehdinejad-Nouri was quoted as saying by the ISNA news agency. "However, the launch was not publicised as all of its anticipated objectives were not accomplished," Mehdinejad-Nouri told reporters.

-- Head of the Iran Space Agency (ISA) Hamid Fazeli says the country plans to send a living organism into space on board the country’s indigenous Kavoshgar (K-4 type) satellite carrier soon.
The Kavoshgar, with a weight of about 300 kg and an altitude of 120-130 kilometers suborbital, will blast into space in the next Iranian calendar month (beginning June 21), Fazeli said.

TEHRAN, 2012, Aug. 01 --  Iran said that it plans to send living creatures into the space on the back of Kavoshgar rocket after the month of Ramadan (later in August). All stages of launching the Kavoshgar with living creatures have been accomplished, head of Iranian Space Agency Hamid Fazeli told reporters. We have fully packed the cargo which is to be launched and it will be launched into space with a solid-fuel rocket , he added.

TEHRAN, 2012, Dec. 17
-- Head of Iran’s Space Agency (ISA) Hamid Fazeli says the country plans to send a bio-capsule with a living creature into space on board the Pishgam satellite carrier in the near future.
He expressed hope that the Pishgam satellite carrier  would soon be successfully launched into space carrying a monkey.

TEHRAN, 2013, Jan. 15
-- Iran will send monkeys into space next month (February 01 - 10) as part of a plan to put humans into orbit, Hamid Fazeli, head of the country’s space agency said.
Hamid Fazeli said that the launch would be part of the celebrations leading up to the 34th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution on and part of the program for putting humans in orbit.
Five monkeys in capsules named Pishgam will be carried into orbit by a Kavoshgar rocket and orbit earth 120-130 kilometers in space.Testing phase of these living capsules has ended and monkeys to be sent to space are now in quarantine, he said.

TEHRAN, 2013, Jan. 21
-- Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi announced that Iran’s first space monitoring center to be inaugurated during the Ten-Day Dawn celebrations. Vahidi also said that it is more than likely that Iran will send several monkeys into space aboard the Pishgam space capsule during the celebrations.

-- The Islamic Republic of Iran has sent one monkey into space aboard a bio-capsule with a rocket of type Kavoshgar-4 (Pishgam). The rocket reached a height of more than 120 km and  returned its shipment intact.
